Why are we fundraising?

Tim and Stephanie were involved in a non fault serious head on RTC in March 2025. Both sustained serious injuries with Stephanie having to be air lifted to hospital following a 3 hour extraction from the vehicle.

From the first responder on the scene to the paramedic by Stephanie's side in the helicopter, from nurses on the ward to staff care giving during their recoveries a huge thank you is owed to them all.

We owe an immense debt of gratitude to everyone involved, and this fundraising event is our way of giving something back — raising vital funds to support their lifesaving work.

Without these funds raised by volunteers the North West Air Ambulance would not operate. No government or NHS funding is available and they must raise over £18 million to remain operational.
